Customer.io: Email Deliverability Specialist

Headquarters: Americas Remote

About Customer.io

Over 9,000 companies from scrappy startups to global brands use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the role

Hi, my name is Caitlin, Senior Manager, Technical Support at Customer.io, and I’m looking for an Email Deliverability Specialist to join our deliverability program within Technical Support. You’ll help customers reach the inbox by diagnosing sending issues, advising on best practices, and guiding senders through an email ecosystem that keeps changing.

You’ll be one of several deliverability experts on a team that shares knowledge across Technical Support, so your work reaches well beyond your own queue. You’ll partner with Customer Success, Technical Support, and Engineering: taking customer calls, equipping CSMs for customer conversations, working through complex technical cases alongside Engineering, and turning what you see in tickets into documentation, training, and better processes.

You’ll thrive here if you think about the health of the whole program, enjoy improving how work gets done, and are equally comfortable digging into a detailed case and having a direct conversation with a customer about acceptable use.

What we value

Empathy and curiosity: You approach every customer with patience and a desire to dig deeper, especially when a conversation gets uncomfortable.

Clarity: You explain complex technical concepts simply and help others do the same.

Collaboration: You build strong partnerships across Support, Customer Success, and Engineering, and you treat customer outcomes as a shared goal.

Thinking at scale: You look at how we do things today and see what could work better for the whole organization, then you help make it happen.

Continuous learning: You stay ahead of evolving standards and see change as a chance to improve how we work.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a trusted deliverability advisor to customers, handling complex cases through to full resolution and leading customer calls when a conversation needs it
  • Audit sender setup and monitor reputation across IPs and domains, using authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and BIMI, DNS configuration, and provider tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Yahoo Sender Hub, and Microsoft SNDS to diagnose blocklists, spam traps, and engagement drops
  • Work through highly technical issues with Engineering, taking ownership of the investigation first and sharing trends from customer cases with Product and Engineering
  • Identify acceptable use policy violations and spam complaints, hold clear and direct conversations with customers about compliance, and keep up with evolving standards (Gmail and Yahoo sender requirements, CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
  • Equip CSMs and Technical Support with the knowledge to handle deliverability conversations, through coaching, documentation, and training
  • Improve processes, tools, and one-to-many resources, such as help content, Academy course and proactive customer guidance, so deliverability support scales across the organization

What we’re looking for

  • 2-4 years of experience in email deliverability at a mid-size or large ESP, B2B SaaS company, or marketing automation platform, with exposure to deliverability at scale
  • Deep understanding of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) and infrastructure (SMTP, MTAs, DNS), with the technical comfort to work through complex issues with Engineering
  • Proficiency with provider data feeds (Google Postmaster Tools, Yahoo Sender Hub, Microsoft SNDS) and third-party deliverability monitoring tools like Everest, MXToolbox, or similar, and the analytical skill to turn bounce, engagement, and blocklist data into clear recommendations
  • Working knowledge of email compliance and acceptable use standards, and comfort having direct conversations with customers who are sending outside of them
  • Experience building or improving processes, documentation, or training that help a support or deliverability team scale
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including comfort leading customer calls and simplifying technical concepts for any audience
  • Located in the United States or Canada
  • Bonus: participation in deliverability communities (M3AAWG, ESPC, or similar) and experience partnering with Customer Success teams

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $102,000 – $110,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

We know our people are what make us great, and we’re committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions – just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.

  • 30-minute video call with a Recruiter
  • 45-minute video call with the Hiring Manager
  • 60 minute Case Study Review call with Cross-Functional Partners
  • 30 minute video call with potential Team Member
  • 30 minute final video call with Senior Leadership

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process.

Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact jobs@customer.io.

Remote Jobs (Work From Home)

QuickMail: Technical Customer Support

Headquarters: Zurich, Switzerland

URL: https://quickmail.com

The role

We are hiring a technical customer support person with an owner’s mentality.

You will own support for QuickMail and Mailflow, our deliverability add-on. There is no first or second line. You are the first and last person our customers talk to.

Customers count on you to solve their problems and find the real cause when something breaks. You work closely with engineering, and you tell the founder what we need to know to make the product better: where the friction is and where the opportunities are.

The role covers the help desk, system health checks, testing new releases before they ship, and leading the weekly team meeting. It takes excellent communication, solid technical understanding and sharp critical thinking.

This is not a script-reading job. Most tickets involve deliverability, DNS records, LinkedIn automation or campaign setup. You dig into customer accounts in our Support Dashboard, reproduce the issue, then decide what to do and how to explain it to the customer.

We are a remote team spread across time zones. Most routine tasks have a written guide with a checklist, so you know what done looks like. You are expected to refine and improve those processes. When something new comes up, you work out the most efficient way to handle it.

If you want a lot of autonomy across many areas, real responsibility and a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

What work looks like

You own two things: customers get unstuck fast, and the product stays reliable

Every day

  • Set the day’s support priorities and work the Help Scout queue for QuickMail and Mailflow. Triage, resolve, and dig deeper when a ticket needs it.
  • Check the support dashboard: job queue, event-stream latency, blacklist status, newly purchased domains. If something is off, investigate, diagnose, and drive it to resolution.
  • Review fraud alerts and disable accounts that are scams or abusing the platform.

Delighting customers

  • Comfortable jumping on calls with customers, building rapport fast. and set them up for success.
  • Update the changelog and help articles based on what shipped and what customers asked.
  • Share customer feedback with the team, ask happy customers for reviews and case studies, and watch NPS for testimonial candidates.

Making support smarter with AI

  • Improve the AI support agent. Review its answers, fix the docs it drew from when it is wrong, and contact the customer when its reply was off.
  • Write and maintain automated tests, built with AI, that try to break staging before customers do.
  • Use the MCP connections we have in place (Helpscout, GitHub, Postmark, and others) to get an accurate picture of support and find the next thing worth improving.

Keeping the product solid

  • Gatekeep releases. New fixes and features land on staging every week. Test them, confirm when staging is ready to ship, and think through how existing and new users will be affected.
  • Report bugs as GitHub issues with everything the developer needs: steps to reproduce, screenshots or a Loom, and any GraphQL or console errors.
  • Captain red alerts. When a core feature breaks (emails not sending, login down), confirm it, alert the team on Slack or Telegram, update the status page every 30 minutes, keep affected customers informed, and drive the fix. Then run the retrospective so it does not happen twice.

Running the week

  • Lead the weekly team meeting in MonsterOps: issues written up, to-dos done, numbers updated.
  • Keep rock status and KPIs current in MonsterOps.

Tools you’ll use: Helpscout, our Support Dashboard, Sidekiq, GitHub, Slack, Telegram, MonsterOps, Outline, MxToolbox, Postmark, Bento, TidyCal, Fathom, Visual Code and Claude.

Requirements

Who you are

  • You build rapport fast. You are warm, positive, and relatable in writing and on calls.
  • You are a good communicator. Externally, you can show warmth, empathy and care. Internally, you are able to communicate clearly and concisely about important things.
  • You can operate with minimal instructions. You understand a short brief without every detail spelled out. You can prioritize well (especially when you have a lot on your plate), and get things done without hand-holding.
  • You are comfortable on video. You are natural on live calls with Zoom and Meet, and on recorded video through tools like loom.
  • Your teammates can always count on you. You say what you’ll do and you do what you said.
  • You act with a constant sense of urgency. You can execute fast and find new ways to improve your productivity.
  • You are resourceful. You use all the tools at your disposal to get great results.
  • You have a low ego. You don’t take offense easily and you handle disagreement as a discussion, not a personal attack.
  • Growth mindset. You are positive about new workflow/process/product/tool changes. You love giving and receiving positive and negative feedback without getting defensive.
  • Hours that overlap with East coast US and UK, where most of our customers are.

A plus if you have

  • Have experience with customer facing, or if you don’t have it, tell us why you are perfect for this role.
  • Working knowledge of deliverability and LinkedIn outreach. Warmup, DNS, inbox rotation, DKIM, SPF, Outlook and Gmail technical setup, . We can teach this, but a head start helps.
  • Comfort with agency setups. Workspaces, guest seats, inbox purchases and what happens when an agency loses a client.
  • Light data skills. You can pull numbers from Help Scout or our MCP to back up what you report.
  • An eye for happy customers. You notice them and ask for testimonials and case studies at the right moment.

How we work together

Youll work directly with me, the founder, and with our lead developer.

Working with me can be intense. Here is what that looks like in practice:

  • My replies are short and can come across as harsh. If something I wrote lands badly or isnt clear, ask me.
  • My direction can change. I may say one thing, then something different a few days later as I learn more. When that happens, check what changed and adapt.
  • I prefer information to be short and to the point. Lead with what matters, then give more details if I ask.
  • I can stay frustrated about a problem until its solved. That’s something I’m aware of and working on. Youll do well here if you can stay calm and focused when the pressure is on.
  • We often think fast and interrupt each other when discussing ideas. If that would bother you, this role probably isnt for you.

This role suits someone with high emotional intelligence, who doesnt take things personally, asks when something is unclear, and keeps many things moving at once.

Your schedule can be flexible. If you have a martial arts class every Thursday at 3 pm, go and make up the time later. In return, on the rare occasion we need your help on a weekend, we ask you to be flexible too.

Benefits

  • Contract type (full-time or part-time)
  • Compensation: $2,500 to $4,000 USD per month, depending on experience and location. US-based hires will work as independent contractors (1099).
  • Start date: negotiable

Remote Jobs (Work From Home)

Koast.ai: Head of Technical Support @ Koast.ai

Headquarters: Tampa, Florida

URL: https://koast.ai

Head of Technical Support | Full-time | Remote (US hours) | Reports to the CEO

Koast is the AI operating layer for teams that run Meta ads at volume. Agencies, in-house media buying teams, and enterprise buyers managing 10+ ad accounts and launching 50+ ads a week use Koast to launch faster, automate optimizations off real attribution data, and see every account from one Command Center. The Koast Agent is the next layer: an AI that reads the account, spots what matters, and acts inside guardrails.

Our customers are media buyers. When something breaks, it is not a support ticket to them. It is a campaign that did not launch, a budget that did not move, or an account they cannot see. They need someone on the other end who has run ads, knows what they are looking at, and can tell the difference between a Meta API error, a user mistake, and a real bug.

That is this role. You are the anchor between our customers and our engineers. You will onboard every new account, own every ticket, QA every release before it hits production, and make sure engineering hears about patterns, not anecdotes.

What You WIll Own…

Onboarding. Every new customer gets set up right the first time: ad accounts connected, attribution (Hyros, Cometly) wired in, team invited, first launch done together on a call. You will run these sessions yourself, then build the playbook and the in-app flow so the next hundred customers need less of you.

Support, end to end. Intercom is yours. Response times, resolution quality, the help center, the macros, the escalation path. You will answer tickets yourself until the volume justifies a hire, and you will know every customer by name before you delegate a single one.

Triage and the bridge to engineering. You decide what is a bug, what is a feature gap, what is Meta being Meta, and what is user error. Bugs get reproduced, documented with steps and account context, and filed in Shortcut with enough detail that an engineer can fix it without asking you a follow-up question. Patterns get surfaced in the weekly review with numbers: how many customers, how much spend affected, how often.

QA and release quality. Nothing ships to production without you having run it against a real ad account. You will own the QA pass on every release: launch flows, automations, Agent actions, integrations. You know what a broken campaign structure looks like in Ads Manager, and you catch it before a customer does.

System tightness. Meta API connections, token refreshes, webhook health, Whop account provisioning, attribution syncs. You will monitor them (Sentry, PostHog, internal dashboards), notice when something drifts, and get it fixed before it turns into a ticket.

Customer health and retention. You will know which accounts are launching, which have gone quiet, and which are about to churn. You will bring that list to the CEO weekly and you will own the outreach.

What you will do week to week

  • Run onboarding calls for new customers and enterprise accounts. Connect accounts, verify data, launch the first campaign together.
  • Work the Intercom queue. Own first response, resolution, and follow-up.
  • Reproduce every reported bug against a real ad account before it goes to engineering.
  • File and prioritize Shortcut tickets with repro steps, account IDs, screenshots, and expected versus actual behavior.
  • QA each release candidate against a test account and a live customer scenario. Sign off or send it back.
  • Monitor Sentry and PostHog for errors and drop-offs. Flag anything that affects more than one customer the same day.
  • Run the weekly support review: ticket volume by category, time to resolution, top three patterns, customers at risk. One page, numbers first.
  • Write help center articles and Loom walkthroughs for anything you have explained more than twice.

What sets you apart

  • You have run Meta ads. You know Ads Manager, campaign and ad set structure, learning phase, Advantage+, pixel and CAPI setup, and what “the API rejected my creative” actually means. This is a hard requirement, not a preference.
  • You have done support or customer success for a B2B SaaS product and you were the person engineers trusted because your bug reports were correct.
  • You can QA software. You have written test cases, run release checks, and sent a build back because it was not ready.
  • You are calm with a frustrated customer whose launch just failed, and you are direct with an engineer who shipped the thing that failed it.
  • You write tightly. Your tickets, your help articles, and your customer replies are shorter than everyone else’s and clearer.
  • You want to build the support function, not just work inside one.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in customer support, customer success, or technical support for a B2B SaaS product, including at least one role where you were the primary bridge to engineering.
  • Hands-on Meta ads experience. You have managed ad accounts, launched campaigns, and troubleshot Ads Manager and API issues. Agency or performance marketing background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Intercom or a comparable support platform, and a ticketing or project tool (Shortcut, Linear, Jira).
  • Experience running QA or UAT on software releases.
  • Comfortable reading logs, API responses, and error monitoring (Sentry or similar). You do not need to write code. You need to read enough to know where the problem is.
  • Familiarity with attribution tools (Hyros, Cometly, Triple Whale, Northbeam) is a plus.
  • Available full-time during US business hours.

How You Work

Small team, high autonomy. Decisions are made with numbers, written down, and revisited when the numbers change. These are the values we run on. If they sound like you, you will fit right in.

  • Mastery. “Good enough” is where you start, not where you stop. You keep sharpening the craft: tighter repros, faster resolutions, fewer repeat tickets.
  • Push the Boundaries. You take on the ambitious version of the problem. Most support teams answer tickets. You want to build the one that prevents them.
  • Embrace the Challenge. When a customer’s launch breaks at 9pm, you are in the thread, not waiting for the morning standup.
  • Responsibility. You own your commitments. If a fix slips, the customer hears it from you first, with a new date attached.
  • Dedication. You dive into the hard, unglamorous problems (an intermittent API error, a broken sync nobody can reproduce) and iterate until they are solved.
  • Collaboration. You write clearly, share what you learn, and make engineering and sales faster for having worked with you.

Why Koast

  • Early-stage impact. You will be one of the first ten full-time employees. The support function, the onboarding playbook, and the QA standard will be the ones you built.
  • AI and ads at scale. You will support some of the highest-volume ad teams on Meta and see what an AI agent does with real budgets every day.
  • Real compensation. Full-time salary, performance bonuses tied to retention and resolution metrics, and paid time off. Bootstrapped and profitable, so the seat is stable and the growth path is real.
  • Remote and flexible. Work from anywhere, on your schedule, during US hours. Just make sure every customer is launching.

How to apply

Record a Loom, five minutes or less, covering these four things in order:

  1. Explain why you’re a fit. Screen-share and explain projects youve worked on, ad accounts you have had access to (blur what you need) or companies you helped before. Walk us through the structure and tell us the last thing that broke in it and how you fixed it.
  2. One bug report. Take us through an example of a report you filed that an engineer fixed without asking you a follow-up question. Tell us how you reproduced it.
  3. One angry customer. A time a customer was losing money because of a product issue. What you said in the first reply, what you did next, and what happened.
  4. Where Koast fits. Sixty seconds on what breaks first when a media buyer starts managing 20 accounts from one platform instead of Ads Manager, and how you would catch it before they do.

Email the Loom link and your LinkedIn or resume to jobs@koast.ai with the subject line “Retention is king”.

NOTE: DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH PRODUCTS LIKE THIS / ADVERTISING / CANNOT WORK US HOURS.

No cover letters. We watch the Loom first and read the resume second. Applications without the video are not reviewed.

Airtable: Director, Technical Account Management

Headquarters: Remote – US; Remote – Canada

Airtable is the no-code app platform that empowers people closest to the work to accelerate their most critical business processes. More than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, rely on Airtable to transform how work gets done.

As the Director of Technical Account Management at Airtable, you will lead and scale a high-impact team that owns the persistent technical relationship with our most strategic Premium Support customers serving as the long-term architectural authority for how those customers build, deploy, and scale intelligent workflows on Airtable’s platform. This role requires deep experience in platform architecture and integration, hands-on fluency with AI agent capabilities, and a clear-eyed understanding of what enterprise customers need to run Airtable as mission-critical infrastructure.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and scale a high-performing team of Technical Account Managers who serve as the persistent technical authority for Premium accounts ensuring customer environments are built to fully leverage Airtable’s platform, including Field Agents, Omni, automation architecture, and the connected data structures that make intelligent workflows perform at scale.
  • Own the team’s technical depth across Airtable’s agent capabilities including Field Agent configuration, data semantics, schema design, MCP connectivity, and automation architecture so TAMs can guide customers through key architectural decisions and implementation.
  • Coach and mentor Managers and ICs, building architectural judgment and platform fluency across the team. Foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning that keeps pace with Airtable’s rapid product evolution.
  • Establish and evolve frameworks for how TAMs assess and improve the technical health of Premium accounts evaluating agent configurations, data semantics, integration coverage, and automation architecture against the full capability of the platform.
  • Engage directly with customers during critical technical projects or escalations, diagnosing root cause, proposing structural remediation, and representing Airtable as a calm, expert partner.
  • Partner across Sales, Customer Success, and Support to maintain clear ownership boundaries and identify high-value accounts for Premium Support articulating the TAM value proposition in terms of architectural depth, agent reliability, and long-term technical health.
  • Drive program development and influence product direction by iterating on delivery models and surfacing patterns around friction, gaps, or constraints that limit how customers realize value from Airtable’s capabilities.
  • Leverage data and KPIs (e.g., technical health scores, automation adoption, integration depth, CSAT) to inform decisions, measure success, and prioritize team focus.

Who you are

  • You have 10+ years in technical support, solution architecture, or technical account management roles, including at least 5+ years leading enterprise-facing technical teams.
  • You bring a solutions-architect mindset, with the ability to evaluate a customer’s existing build, identify structural risk, and prescribe scalable improvements translating complex technical requirements into concrete, actionable plans. You’ve done this in platform or integration-heavy SaaS environments where customers require ongoing architectural guidance to realize full product value.
  • You use AI heavily in your own work not experimentally, but as a core part of how you operate. You have strong intuition for which tools and approaches extract real value, and you build that thinking into the workflows, playbooks, and frameworks you create for your team.
  • You have working fluency in AI architecture concepts relevant to enterprise customers: agent frameworks, MCP connectivity, automation pipelines, and schema design that supports AI-powered workflows.
  • You’re a strategic leader and strong operator, known for building scalable frameworks that allow your team to deliver consistent technical value across a complex account portfolio and for developing the technical depth and architectural judgment of the people around you.
  • You are calm and confident under pressure, especially in high-stakes technical escalations, and you balance immediate resolution with long-term architectural remediation.
  • You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex architectural trade-offs legible to audiences ranging from developers and data architects to leadership and executive sponsors.
  • You’re analytical and comfortable making data-informed decisions, using technical health signals and program metrics to prioritize resources and identify opportunities for evolution.
