About the Role
Our retail platform is scaling across multiple brands and needs a senior engineer who can own a service area end-to-end setting technical direction, writing production code daily, and raising the bar for the developers around you. AsSoftware Engineer (Team Lead), you will serve as the technical owner for a core area of our retail service cloud, designing approaches, contributing code, and mentoring engineers while driving the roadmap from legacy replacement through new feature delivery.
In your first 612 months, success means you have shipped meaningful improvements to the platform, replaced targeted legacy services, and established clear technical standards that the team follows without prompting.
This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as technical owner for your area or service within the retail service cloud, setting architecture direction and maintaining quality standards
- Design, build, and ship features reading and writing code daily alongside the team
- Identify and resolve technical challenges across the stack, from profiling and refactoring to scaling the platform
- Replace legacy code and services with modern, maintainable solutions and optimize the overall stack
- Build frameworks and reusable patterns for upcoming projects across the portfolio
- Plan and communicate product roadmaps, triage sprint tickets, and push back on requests when technical tradeoffs demand it
- Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and hands-on problem solving
- Help build the team by driving developer productivity and contributing to hiring decisions
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js
- Proficiency / production experience with API Gateway, AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB.
- Comfortable with IAM and CloudWatch for debugging + least-privilege design
- Experience with Python and Django or comparable server-side frameworks
- Track record of owning a product or service area technically architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate other engineers while remaining a significant individual contributor
- Experience replacing or modernizing legacy systems in a production environment
- Comfort triaging competing priorities, planning sprints, and communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong opinions on code quality and engineering best practices, held loosely enough to find the best solution collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with retail, e-commerce, or multi-brand platform environments
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns
- Prior experience in a technical lead role on a small, high-output team

About this role:
You’ll own the quality, clarity, and consistency of BIS marketing messaging. You will work closely with marketing leadership to understand the companys positioning and translate it into clear, compelling copy across a wide range of channels. This includes everything from advertising and website content to buyer guides, campaigns, product messaging, and video scripts.
The role requires someone who enjoysthinking deeply about how customers interpret messaging, and how different audiences respond to different types of communication. At BIS, copywriting is not simply writing. It is aboutunderstanding the psychology of buyers and shaping how the market understands our product.
What does success look like in this role?
Speed of output, and strong technical understanding of our digital product. We produce a high volume of marketing content across campaigns, website pages, guides, and digital initiatives. The right candidate can write quickly while maintaining clarity and quality. And copywriting is not treated as a support function. This role has real influence over how the company communicates with the market.

In this role, you’ll be expected to:
- Own Marketing Messaging Quality –ensure consistency of messaging across marketing channels, maintain clarity and discipline in how the company communicates its value, and help refine the language used to describe our platform and capabilities
- Develop a Working Understanding of the BIS Platform – write accurate and credible marketing copy, the copywriter must develop a strong working understanding of how the BIS platform functions. This includes learning the core capabilities of the system and ensuring that marketing messaging accurately reflects what the software can actually do.The goal is to ensure that marketing copy remainsaligned with real product functionality, while still communicating value clearly to the market.
- Write and Develop Marketing Content – you will create and refine copy for a variety of marketing initiatives including Website pages and landing pages, digital advertising campaigns, buyer guides and marketing assets, campaign messaging and promotional materials, video scripts and product marketing content, and email campaigns and marketing communications
- Understand the Buyer – strong marketing copy requires understanding how buyers think. You will work with the marketing team to develop messaging that reflects different customer types, different levels of buyer sophistication, and different stages of the purchasing journey
- Work Across Marketing Channels – sessaging at BIS appears in many forms. You will contribute copy and messaging for digital marketing campaigns, website content, SEO and AEO-driven content initiatives, marketing guides and downloadable assets, and product-focused marketing materials
- Use AI as a Professional Tool – AI is increasingly part of modern marketing workflows. In this role you will use AI tools to assist research and content development, refine and elevate AI-assisted drafts into high-quality marketing copy, and help the team use AI more effectively in marketing workflows

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager, Collections & Recoveries is responsible for driving collections and recovery performance across a network of third-party vendors within a master servicer model. This role is accountable for execution and optimization of strategies across early- and late-stage delinquency (1120+ days past due) and post charge-off recoveries. This individual plays a critical role in delivering portfolio outcomes by translating strategy into action, holding vendors accountable to defined performance targets, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve collections effectiveness, cost efficiency, and borrower experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collections Performance Execution
Execute against established collections and recovery strategies to improve key portfolio metrics, including roll rates, cure rates, liquidation rates, and recovery performance
Monitor ongoing performance and proactivelyidentifytrends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Support forecasting and performance tracking for collections and recovery channels
Contribute to the development and refinement of strategies based on observed performance and data insights
Vendor Oversight & Management
Manage day-to-day performance of third-partysubservicersand collection agencies responsible for delinquency management and charged-off recoveries
Hold vendors accountable to clearly defined KPIs, SLAs, and performance expectations
Identifyperformance gaps and drivetimelycorrective action plans with vendors
Lead recurring performance reviews and operational meetings with vendors (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
Escalate and help resolve complex operational or borrower issues in partnership with vendors
Performance Oversight & Improvement
Analyze collections and recovery performance data to understand drivers of borrower delinquencies and recovery trends
Partner with internal analytics teams to translate data into actionable insights and operational improvements
Identify, design, and implement process improvements and new collections tactics to enhance collections outcomes, scalability, and borrower experience
Prepare and deliver regular performance reporting, clearly articulating trends, drivers, and actions being taken
Ensure processes and vendor activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements by partnering closely with the Legal and Compliance teams
